Wal-Mart Purse Snatcher Apprehended by Livingston Police, LIVINGSTON, May 8, 2008 - According to Lieutenant Matt Parrish of the Livingston Police Department, at approximately 5 pm on May 7, 2008, a tip led officer Parrish and several other officers with the Livingston Police Department to a residence in the 600th block of Dogwood in Livingston. When they arrived, officer Rob Atkins walked around to the back side of the residence and observed the suspect, Barrett Michael Tillery, 36, of Onalaska in the Kitchen. Officer Atkins ordered Tillery to come out and Tillery came out without incident. Tillery stated that he had permission to be in the residence. Tillery was taken to Livingston Police Department where he was questioned and booked, and then taken to Polk County Jail and booked into Jail. Tillery was charged with aggrevated robbery and burglary of a hatitation. According to Parrish, the owners of the residence where Tillery was, were out of town. Livingston Police Department contacted the owners and they said they had no knowledge of Tillery and had never given him permission to be in their house. See related story.
