Drugs and Stolen Property, ALABAMA COUSHATTA COUNTRY, September 19, 2025 - On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Polk County Sheriff's Office received a report of a male and female subject driving an ATV in the area of FM 2500. It was reported the individuals matched the description of subjects trespassing and stealing wire in the area. A Corporal with the Patrol Division was able to locate the four-wheeler and information was received identifying the male and female to be Kalen Cox and Matthew Lester.

An investigation was immediately initiated into the incident and Detectives conducted a search warrant on Kalen's residence. During a search of the residence multiple stolen items were recovered along with illegal narcotics. Kalen Cox and Matthew Lester currently have an active felony warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance. This is an ongoing investigation at this time, additional charges are pending.
