Stolen Property, Meth, and Warrants, 2 Arrested, SCENIC LOOP, January 28, 2026 - On Monday, January 26, 2026, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity in the Scenic Loop Area. There had been several burglaries occurring in the area. Deputies responded to the area and began patrolling checking local businesses and residences. It was determined that buildings and residences in the area had been broken into recently. Deputies were able to identify the suspicious person as Steven McAdams, 40, of Livingston. While attempting to make contact with McAdams at his residence probable cause was established for a search warrant in reference to stolen property. Detectives responded to the scene and a search warrant was conducted resulting in the recovery of stolen property. Methamphetamines were also located during the search. Steven McAdams and Hester Tinkle, 33, of Coldspring were located on the property and arrested.
Steven McAdams was charged with the following:
Possession of Controlled Substance ($10,000 Bond)
Unauthorized Possession Certain Copper/Brass Material ($15,000 Bond)
Unauthorized Possession of Catalytic Converter ($15,000 Bond)
Hester Tinkle was charged with the following and has been released on bond:
Possession of Controlled Substance
3 Class C Warrants
This is an active investigation and additional charges are pending.
