4 Polk County Juveniles Arrested and Charged with Felony Engagement in Organized Crime, LIVINGSTON, January 2, 2025 - On the evening of December 20, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division responded to a report of potential criminal mischief in the area of Lakeview Drive South, off FM 1988.

The call was made by a resident who observed three juveniles leaving a residence utilized as a weekend home. Noticing that the homeowners were absent, the caller observed the juveniles carrying items from the house.

In a swift and commendable response, the caller followed the suspects and promptly notified the juvenile’s parents of the suspicious activity.

Upon arrival at the scene, a deputy began an investigation and determined that the juveniles had forced entry into the residence, causing damage estimated at approximately $12,000. In addition to the property damage, multiple items were stolen from the home. Further investigation revealed that these juveniles had been involved in additional burglaries in the neighborhood the previous night, alongside another juvenile.

The deputy was able to recover stolen items, which were linked to several burglaries in the area. As a result of the investigation, four juveniles were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, both of which are felony offenses.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of our communities, and we commend the quick-thinking actions of the citizen that contributed to the successful resolution of this case.
