Polk County Jailer Arrested and Jailed, LIVINGSTON, January 1, 2025 - At the request of the Polk County Sheriff, Byron Lyons, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Ranger Division arrested 27-year-old Alyssa Young of Livingston, a Polk County Jailer, following an investigation into bringing a prohibited substance into a jail and theft.
Young is accused of bringing in contraband products and providing them to inmates on multiple occasions and stealing from an inmate.
Young has been formally charged with theft of property less than $100.00, with a public service enhancement and bringing a prohibited substance into a jail facility, both misdemeanor offenses.
