Standoff Ends in San Jac County as Suspect is Arrested by Polk County Deputies, POINT BLANK, December 28, 2023 - A standoff in Point Blank ended at around 5 pm today with the arrest of Tyler Williams.  Williams is wanted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office in connection with a burglary and subsequent house fire as the burglarized house was set ablaze off FM-3126 in the vicinity of Blanchard and Scenic Loop.  Additionally, the homeowner who was burglarized is now missing.  The standoff lasted for several hours.  According to radio traffic, early on during the standoff, Williams stated that he was ready to die.  Williams was taken into custody by Polk County Deputies.
 
WORD ON THE STREET:  According to sources, the homeowner was murdered and allegedly put into a truck toolbox and dumped into the Trinity River.  THAT'S WORD ON THE STREET AND IS NOT CONFIRMED.
