Constable Marcello Rosario is a retired Texas State Trooper and will be at Goodrich School during school hours as armed security for the school.
Texas House Bill 3 to Ensure Armed Law Enforcement at Schools, GOODRICH, August 23, 2023 - Effective on September 1, 2023, Texas House Bill 3 will go into effect. Among other things in the bill, armed security will be required. In Goodrich, Polk County Constable, Marcello Rosario will be on campus and is more than ready to carry out his duties. Constable Rosario enjoys a fatherly/big brother type relationship with the kids in Goodrich. Rosario has had a successful career in law enforcement for the State of Texas, and now with Polk County. With the increase over the last 15 years in school shootings, the security measure is a welcome addition to the Polk County Schools, and Goodrich Loves Rosario.
