Deputy Dillan Dickerson with the Polk County Sheriff's Office initiated a preliminary investigation into the cause of the fiire that totaled a double wide mobile home off of US-146 (about a block south of FM-1988 East).
Fire Totals Double Wide Mobile Home, PROVIDENCE, January 21, 2025 - Shortly after 3 pm on January 21, 2025, a fire was reported to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.  Volunteer Firemen from Livingston and South Polk County Fire Departments arrived at a residence about a block south of R&D Grocery off US-146 off a private dirt road.  The Double wide mobile home is owned by Kenneth Laviolette, of Livingston.  The fire appears to have started on a deck at the back off the mobile home.  Laviolette wasn't home when the fire started.  When he got home, he found his home on fire.  The fire totaled the mobile home.  Deputy Dylan Dickerson with the Polk County Sheriff's Office initiated and preliminary investigation into the cause of the fire.  Laviolette reportedly has home owner's insurance on the double wide mobile home.

The charred remains of the back deck appear to be where the fire started.
Flames and smoke appear through a gaping hole where the roof caved in.
Livingston Fire Chief, Corky Cochran, watches over his men.
