Goodrich Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Child Sex Crime, LIVINGSTON, January 27, 2017 - A Goodrich man pleaded guilty to a child sex crime and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Louis Joseph Mastalez, 55, of Goodrich, plead guilty for inappropriately touching an acquaintance's daughter. The acquaintance was allowing Mastalez to live in a travel trailer on his property. The victim (11 year old girl) stated that she was asleep when the Mastalez touched her inappropriately. The victim stated that the molestation took place on several occasions. Mastalez is a registered sex offender. He reportedly apologized to the victim and moved to Comal County where he unsuccessfully attempted suicide and ended up getting hospitalized.
