Head On Collision, Both Drivers Flown From Scene, SCHWAB CITY, December 14, 2025 - At approximately 5:22 pm on December 14, 2025, a white 2012 GMC Yukon, driven by Beverly Moody, 44, of Livingston, south-bound on US-146. As Moody was passing the subdivision of Forest Springs, a north-bound red 2020 Chevy Traverse, driven by Joel Michael Rusch, 53, of Shoreacres, crossed over the center line and slammed head-on into Moody's vehicle. The impact caused both vehicles to spin around facing their opposite directions of travel. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Corporal Brandon Sanford and Deputy Dillon Dickerson with The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Cesar Davila and Simon Mijares with The Texas Highway Patrol. Both Moody and Rusch were flown from the scene. All traffic on 146 was blocked during investigation, cleanup, and flight operations. Rusch is likely to be cited in the cause of this crash. Moody's vehicle was recovered by Smith Towing out of Livingston, while Rusch's vehicle was recovered by Dan's Towing (also out of Livingston).

Special thank you: Ken's Towing
