US-146 at FM-2665, 11/11/25, 7 am

2 Vehicle Crash, 1 Rolls, GOODRICH, November 11, 2025 - At approximately 6:43 am on November 11, 2025, a white Dodge Ram pickup, driven by James Tobar, 54, of Livingston, was south-bound on US-146. As Tobar was passing FM-2665, a gray 2013 Volkswagen Passat, driven by a 16 year old Livingston female pulled off of 2665 directly in front of Tobar. Tobar swerved left to avoid a collision, but the car (as it was attempting to turn into the north-bound lane of 146) was unavoidable. Tobar clipped the Volkswagen (front end, passenger side). The impact caused Tobar's vehicle to leave the pavement to the right and roll. Tobar's vehicle came to rest on its driver's side on a barbed wire fence. The VW came to rest on the pavement. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies from The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Dave Swetnam, Sean Barnes, and Corporal Ramey Bass with The Texas Highway Patrol. Neither Tobar nor the youth sustained injuries. The south-bound lane of 146 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. The Livingston Youth was cited for failing to yield. Her vehicle was recovered by LakeView Towing out of Livingston, while Tobar's vehicle was recovered by Pop's Wrecker Service out of Livingston.
