The impact caused Tobar's vehicle to leave the pavement to the right and roll. Tobar's vehicle came to rest on its driver's side on a barbed wire fence. The VW came to rest on the pavement. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies from The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Dave Swetnam, Sean Barnes, and Corporal Ramey Bass with The Texas Highway Patrol.
