Single Vehicle Roll over on Yarborough Loop, BLANCHARD, July 26, 2008 - A single vehicle accident sent an elderly woman and a small girl to Livingston Memorial Hospital. Shortly before 10 am on July 26, 2008, a copper colored 2007 Ford Edge driven by Patricia Lee of Blanchard, was east-bound on Yarborough Loop when she allegedly blacked out (due to a medical condition). Lee's vehicle went off the road to the right and hit a culvert. This caused the vehicle to roll over. Deputy Glen Edwards was the first emergency responder to arrive on the scene. DPS Trooper Robert Akers was dispatched to the scene of the accident. Also at the scene were volunteer firemen from Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department. When the vehicle rolled over, all airbags deployed. Responders were able to get Lee and the small girl from the vehicle. An ambulance from Americare Ambulance Service transported both accident victims to Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Yarborough Loop was blocked while the accident was being cleared. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing towed the vehicle from the scene and the vehicle is being stored at Harrison's Body Shop in downtown Livingston. The accident was cleared before 11 am.
