Motorcycle / Pickup Wreck, LIVINGSTON, July 3, 2025 - At approximately 12:28 pm on July 3, 2025, a white Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Danny Grant, 70, of Rye, was west-bound on US-190 West. As Grant was about to pass FM-350 North, the driver of a red 2007 Chevy pickup pulled off of FM-350 North and attempted to get to the crossover, but failed to yield to Grant. The motorcycle clipped the back of the pickup (driven by Jerry Wayne Hoot, 75, of Shepherd) causing grant to lose control and crash on the pavement. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Officer Robert Fuller with The Livingston Police Department. Fuller was assisted by multiple other officers with LPD. Grant sustained head injuries and a possible broken collar bone. Grant was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic on 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Jerry Hoot was cited for failing to yield to Grant. Grant's motorcycle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored in Livingston. Hoot drove his pickup from the scene.

Officer Robert Fuller with Livingston Police Department cited Hoot for failing to yield.
