37 year old Crystal Tucker Lewis, of Livingston, crashed this 2016 Chevy Pickup at the entrance of Lake Livingston Village located at FM-3126 and FM-3277.
Driver Crashes Pickup, Intoxication Suspected, SCENIC LOOP, June 16, 2018 - At approximately 1:50 pm on June 16, 2018, a black 2016 Chevy pickup, driven by Crystal Tucker Lewis, 37, of Livingston, was traveling on FM-3277.  When Lewis came to the intersection at FM-3126, she misjudged an oncoming east-bound 18 wheeler and pulled in front of the big truck.  Apparently realizing that she was in danger of being broad sided by an 18 wheeler, Lewis floored it and lost control.  Her pickup struck a utility pole at the entrance of Lake Livingston Village and turned over.  Her doors were jammed and she was trapped.  Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Americare Ambulance Service, Deputy Ronald Bogany with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Colton McQuilkin and Donny Akers with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Firemen cut the windshield out of the truck to free Lewis who was treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  Lewis is suspected of being intoxicated and is possibly facing the charge of driving while intoxicated.  Traffic at the scene was not blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Lewis' vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored at Premier Autoplex in Livingston.
