Name Released from Fatal Motorcycle Crash, MOORE HILL, June 10, 2025 - The name of the driver who crashed his motorcycle at FM-3126 and FM-1988 South has been released. At approximately 10 pm, a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, driven by Hannibal Engelhorn, 53, of Baytown, was south-bound on FM-3126 (next to the prison). As Engelhorn was approaching the intersection of 1988 South, he was coming too fast and couldn't stop in time. His motorcycle overshot 1988, jumped a drainage area as he was thrown from his motorcycle into the parking lot of a closed down gas station. Engelhorn was wearing a helmet. A Polk County Deputy arrived on the scene and began chest compressions, but Engelhorn's injuries were too severe as he passed away shortly after the arrival of EMS personnel.

Fatal Motorcycle Crash, MOORE HILL, June 9, 2025 - At approximately 10 pm on June 8, 2025, the driver of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle was south-bound on FM-3126 (next to the prison). As the driver was approaching FM-350 South, he was coming too fast and attempted to stop (skid marks on pavement) but couldn't. The driver over shot 350, jumped a drainage area and crashed into a parking lot of a former gas station. The driver (name not yet released) was thrown from his motorcycle. Deputy Joey Mottu with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, was the first emergency responder on the scene and began chest compressions until Allegiance Ambulance Service arrived. Additionally, the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Terrence Dickens, Johnny Wilkerson, and Sean Barnes. Sadly, the driver passed away at the scene. Justice of the Peace, Sarah Rasberry filed an inquest at the scene. A first call car from Cochran Funeral Home transported the driver from the scene. The motorcycle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored in Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.
