Pickups Collide on 350 North, LIVINGSTON, May 5, 2025 - At approximately 10:25 am on May 5, 2025, a gray 2017 Toyota Tacoma driven by Magen Lynn Johnson, 39, of Oakhurst, was south-bound on FM-350 North. Johnson suddenly slammed into the passenger's side of a white 2015 Ford pickup that was north-bound and attempted a left turn into a driveway, but failed to yield to Johnson (just south of Horace Bonds Road). Both vehicles came to rest right there on the pavement. A Deputy from the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Troopers Simon Mijares, Cesar Davila, and Corporal Ramey Bass with The Texas Highway Patrol. Johnson was helped out of her pickup and sat down on the side of the road. The driver of the pickup, Hopson Eugene Parrish, 83, of Livingston, was physically okay. Traffic on 350 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Johnson was transported by private vehicle to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Johnson's pickup was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker Service out of Goodrich. Parrish finished pulling his truck into his driveway once the vehicles were separated. Johnson is facing a citation for failure to yield.
