46 year old Arthur Lee, Jr., of Monroe, Louisiana, was thrown from his motorcycle when he crashed in New Willard. Corporal Keegan Newman and EMS personnel tend to Lee.
Driver Crashes Motorcycle, NEW WILLARD, April 26, 2025 - At approximately 9:12 am on April 26, 2025, the driver of a black Harley Davidson Motorcycle was south-bound on US-59.  For some reason, the driver left the pavement to the right and was thrown from his motorcycle as it rolled multiple times.  After the driver was thrown, the motorcycle continued down the embankment and came to rest at the woodline.  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Corporal Keenan Neuman with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Simon Mijares, Terrence Dickens and Nick Hatton (all with The Texas Highway Patrol).  The driver of the motorcycle, Arthur Lee, Jr., 46, of Monroe, Louisiana, was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  Fortunately, Lee was wearing a helmet and he landed in soft grass.  Lee was traveling with other cyclists in a motorcycle club named "Rare Breed".  Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup.  The motorcycle was recovered by a friend with pickup and trailer (and was assisted by Kwik Tow out of Livingston). This accident remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.

Trooper Simon Mijares speaks with one of the members of the Rare Breed motorcycle club.
