Auto / Pedestrian Accident, Woman Flown, TIGERVILLE, April 7, 2026 - At approximately 8:42 pm on April 7, 2026, a tan 2023 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Harold Fuqua, 56, of Livingston, was east-bound on FM-3126 (near Tigerville Park). According to Fuqua, a woman stepped directly in front of his vehicle and she was impacted. The impact knocked the woman, Marissa Roberts, 28, of West Columbia, around twenty feet from the point of impact. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with The Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies Trent Jones and Derek Foster with The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Desmond Darden with The Texas Highway Patrol. Roberts was loaded onto and ambulance and transported to Livingston Municipal Airport where an Air Life Medical Helicopter landed and transported her to Houston. Traffic on 3126 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Harold Fuqua was not injured. Fuqua's vehicle was driven from the scene. This accident remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.
Roberts apparently stepped in front of a vehicle while walking on FM-3126 near Tigerville Park and was knocked around 20 feet from the point of impact. Roberts landed on the pavement.
56 year old Harold Fuqua, of Livingston, was driving this 2023 Chevy Blazer east-bound on FM-3126 when Roberts stepped in front of his car.
Roberts was loaded onto an ambulance and transported to Livingston Municipal Airport where she was flown.
