2 Vehicle Crash, LAMONT, February 27, 2026 - At approximately 3:08 pm on February 27, 2026, a white 2025 Hyundai Tucson, driven by Taylor Elliott, 31, of Katy, was north-bound on US-59 when the driver of a white 2016 Accura RDX, pulled out of a crossover near the main entrance of Camp Cho Yeh, and directly in front of Elliott. Elliot's vehicle struck the back of the Accura and lost control. Her vehicle left the north-bound side of 59 and went into the center median and rolled twice coming to rest upright in the median. The Accura, driven by Brian Boniface, 45, of Montgomery, pulled into the entrance of Camp Cho Yeh. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Rafael Hererra with The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Sean Barnes with The Texas Highway Patrol. Elliott and her passenger, Tracy Elliott, 59, of Lovelady, were both transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. One lane of traffic on both sides of 59 were blocked during investigation and cleanup. Boniface was cited for unsafe lane change. Elliott's vehicle was recovered by Country Boy Towing out of Livingston, while Boniface's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing out of Livingston.

31 year old Taylor Elliott, of Katy, was driving this 2025 Hyundai Tucson north-bound on US-59 when another vehicle pulled in front of her causing a crash.
Elliott and her passenger were both transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.
45 year old Brian Boniface, of Montgomery, was driving this 2016 Accura RDX when he pulled in front of Elliott (failing to yield).
