68 year old Antonio Loredo Castillo, of Livingston, was driving this 2024 Nissan Rogue on the wrong side of the road with no headlights causing a head on collision on 190 East.
Head On Collision, 1 Driver Flown, LIVINGSTON, February 24, 2026 - At approximately 5:27 am on February 24, 2026, a white 2024 Chevy 2500 pickup, driven by Israel Lopez, 50, of Houston, was west-bound on US-190 East. As Lopez entered the Livingston City Limits, the driver of a gray 2024 Nissan Rogue was headed east-bound in the west-bound lane with no headlights on. The vehicles had a glancing head on collision. Lopez's pickup slid into the parking lot of Huddle House, while the Nissan came to rest on the pavement. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Officer Leo Barra with The Livingston Police Department. Officer Barra was assisted by a number of other officers with Livingston. The driver of the Nissan Rogue, Antonio Loredo Castillo, 67, of Livingston, sustained major injuries and was flown to Conroe. Lopez was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. All traffic on 190 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Castillo is likely facing a citation(s) in the cause of this crash. Lopez's vehicle was recovered by Pop's Wrecker Service out of Livingston. Castillo's vehicle was recovered by Dan's Towing out of Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department.
