Bizarre Accident, 1 Person Flown, 1 Hospitalized, EAST TEMPE, February 21, 2026 - At approximately 6:50 pm on February 21, 2026, a white 2024 Kia Telluride, driven by Tiffany Dees, 33, of Livingston, was south-bound on FM-350 South. Behind Dees was a south-bound red 2014 Chrysler 300 driven by Tabitha King, 51, of Livingston. Evidence at the scene suggests that King left the pavement to the right (into the grass) and pulled beside Dees' vehicle, then swerved into the side of Dees' vehicle. The impact caused King's vehicle to become lodged under Dees' vehicle as both left the pavement to the left and slid to the edge of the woodline on the north-bound side of 350. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Service, Deputies from The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Cesar Davila and Damon Zarate with The Texas Highway Patrol. King was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. Dees was physically okay, but her male passenger was transported by ambulance to a helipad in Livingston and flown. Traffic on 350 was completely blocked during investigation and cleanup. It is not yet known what caused King to leave the pavement (possibly a medical problem). Dees' vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing out of Livingston, while King's vehicle was recovered by Smith Towing, also out of Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.
