Driver Passes Away from Major Accident, LIVINGSTON, January 7, 2025 - The female driver that was involved in a glancing head on collision on Scenic Loop passed away at CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital yesterday (01/06/24). 53 year old Dana Bowman, of Livingston was east-bound on Scenic Loop (less than a mile from FM-2457) when she crossed the center line and had a glancing head on collision with another vehicle. Bowman was rushed to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital in critical condition where she passed away that same day.

Major Accident, 1 Driver Critical, SCENIC LOOP, January 6, 2025 - At approximately 2:15 pm on January 6, 2025, a white 2024 Toyota Rav4, driven by Roger Dousay, 76, of Livingston, was west-bound on FM-3277 (less than a mile from FM-2457), when an east-bound red 2014 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Dana Bowman, 53, of Livingston, appeared to have crossed the center line. The vehicles had a glancing head on collision. The impact sent Dousay to the right side of the pavement where he came to a stop. Bowman left the pavement on the east-bound side and came to rest at a fence. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, Deputy Adrian Ontiveros with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Nick Hatton with The Texas Highway Patrol. Trooper Hatton was assisted by Troopers Damon Zarate, Sean Barnes, and Terrence Dickens. Bowman was transported by ambulance from the scene in critical condition to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. Dousay sustained minor injuries and was checked out by EMS personnel. All traffic on 3277 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Dousay's vehicle was recovered by Dan's Towing out of Livingston, while Bowman's vehicle was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker out of Goodrich. This accident remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.

Bowman's front driver's side tire was torn off from the collsion.
