Truck owner Charlie Johnson arrived to find his driver (Michael Tomes of Onalaska) had turned over his dump truck.
Driver Turns Over Dump Truck, BLANCHARD, January 7, 2014 - At approximately 9:30 am on January 6, 2014, Michael Tomes, 46, of Onalaska, was driving a dumptruck.  Tomes dumped his load on some private property in the 1400 block of FM-3126.  As Tomes was exiting the property, his truck load container was still in an upright position (he hadn't put it back down yet).  The container (being in an upright position) was too high and caught a cable TV utility line.  The line was strong enough to not break and pulled the full sized dump truck over.  The truck turned over on its passenger's side.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Tomes was loaded into an ambulance and taken to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  Tomes was working for the truck's owner, Charlie Johnson.  No citations have been issued at this time.  Johnson sent for heavy recovery equipment to recover his own dump truck.
