San Jacinto County Sheriff's Deputy Arrested on Felony Drug Charges, LIVINGSTON, October 6, 2011 - In June 2011 the Polk County Sheriff's Office established an investigation into a local doctor's office and local pharmacy in reference to prescription fraud. The investigation led to the arrest of employees from the doctor's office and pharmacy. The suspects were arrested for prescription fraud (obtaining prescription medications illegally without a doctor's consent or knowledge). While running names connected with these employees through the State of Texas data base, a Deputy's name came up. The Deputy was employed with the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Anthony Yaw, who is the boyfriend of suspect Dana Turner, showed up with a prescription he filled for hydrocodone medication which was not authorized or given to him by any doctor (Turner was the doctor's office manager who had been arrested for prescription fraud as a result of the investigation). Yaw was placed under arrest on October 4, 2011 for fraud and possession of a controlled prescription substance. Yaw has since been released from the Polk County Jail. There have been a total of twelve people arrested as a result of this investigation. Deputy Yaw's actions should not reflect on any other Deputy working with or assigned to the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office.
