Sanders Indicted for Murder and Aggravated Assault, LIVINGSTON, May 6, 2009 - On May 1, 2009 a Polk County Grand Jury indicted Del Ray Sanders on the charges of murder and two counts of aggravated assault in reference to the death of his wife, Linnie Sanders, which occurred in Holiday Lake Estates on February 16, 2009. The indictment shows that Del Ray Sanders inflicted blunt force trauma to the body of Linnie Sanders causing her death. The case was investigated by Polk County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Texas Ranger, Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab, and the Polk County District Attorney's Office. Del Ray Sanders is currently in custody of the Polk County Jail and is being held without bond.
