Polk County is feeling the effects of the heavy rains during the early morning hours of February 3.  Most of the hardship comes from unpassable roads caused by water overtopping.  Other problems are driver's driving a little too fast for the slick road conditions.


A pickup and 18 wheeler had a hydroplaning mishap from the north-bound lanes of US-59 just north of the Livingston City Limits (Nobody was injured).
Dam at Holiday Lake Estates spills over.
