Running a Stop Sign Leads to Arrest for Possession, LIVINGSTON, June 9, 2008 - Shortly after 2 pm on June 9, 2008, the driver of a red 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage was pulled over for running a stop sign near Old Bold Springs Road.  Captain Ricky Childers, Lieutenant Andy Lowrie, and Deputy Randy Turner pulled over the driver, Brooke Broussard, 25, of Onalaska right next to Livingston Jr. High School near the 59 overpass.  Broussard was acting suspicious but gave consent to search the vehicle in which Lowrie found Broussard to be in possession of a generous quantity of methamphetamine, stuffed into a pipe for smoking meth.  A transport vehicle was summoned from the Sheriff's Dept. driven by Lieutenant Randy Bridges and Broussard was loaded and transported to Polk County Jail and booked in.  Broussard's vehicle was towed away from the scene of the arrest by Ken's Towing Service.
