Truck Burns on Millgate Road, LIVINGSTON, November 2, 2009 - At approximately 9:30 pm on November 1, 2009, a truck fire was reported on Millgate Road just a few miles off of US-146.  Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and sent to fire engines and a handful of fire fighters.  Also dispatched was Polk County Sheriff's Deputy David Ramsey.  The truck was a black Chevy Silverado that was facing west on Millgate on the right side of the road.  The truck appeared to have gotten stuck in the soft shoulder of the road.  Firemen saturated the truck with flame retardant foam, but there was an electrical fire on the driver's side of the truck that was stubborn.  The firemen were persistent and got all the flames extinguished.  The truck is believed to be owned by someone in Coldspring.  Nobody was injured in the accident.  An investigation is underway at this time.  The scene was cleared shortly after 10 pm.
