Livingston Fire Chief Corky Cochran (right) and Assistant Chief John Haynes say the point of origin was probably near the front porch.
Another House Totaled by Fire, LIVINGSTON, April 24, 2011 - At approximately 3:30 pm on April 24, 2011, a fire was reported off Carters Drive in Livingston.  Volunteer Firemen from Livingston and Scenic Loop arrived to find the house burning with very heavy smoke billowing from 253 Carters Drive near Pridgen Road (off FM-350 South).  The home is owned by Kimberly Gardner and Daniel Kiefer who resided in the house.  Firemen doused the fire but not before the interior of the home was gutted by the fire.  Deputy Monty Lee with the Polk County Sheriff's Office initiated a preliminary investigation and was soon joined by Polk County Fire Marshal, Jay Barbee.  According to Barbee, the fire is electrical in nature.  The homeowners are reported to not have insurance.
