Corpus Christi Driver Overshoots Pavement and Ends up in Creek, LIVINGSTON, October 8, 2015 - Shortly after 7 pm on October 7, 2015, a white SUV rent car driven by David Wilke, 48, of Corpus Christi was south-bound on US-59 in Livingston. Wilke took an exit and attempted to use the U Turn at the south end of Livingston that goes under the overpass. He was trying to get back around to the Relax Inn on the north-bound side of 59. Wilke was apparently going too fast when he entered the curve and went off the pavement, rolled through the grass and slid sideways into Choates Creek. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeants Chad Ward and Ronnie Bogany with Livingston Police Department. Wilkes was not intoxicated and was checked out by EMS personnel then released. Fortunately, Wilke wasn't injured. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Wilke's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
David Wilke was checked out by EMS personnel and then released.
